a few of the more common symbols I've been seeing. The one I do recognize is the alchemical symbol for 'spirit' - the first symbol on the third line.

The symbol you speak of on the third line is not the symbol for sun, the symbol for the sun is a O with a little circle in the middle.

Actually, it's a circle with a dot, but there are other depictions of it as well from various cultures, though most of them are very similar, and almost all use the circle as the basis of the solar glyph. I think you're right though that it isn't a sun symbol, since the top is not a closed circle.

uh...i kinda know what the lines mean...the bottom row is alchemical symbols, the second row is actually part of a language, and the top line are symbols relating to one's life.
